New Apple Exclusive Reveals iPhone 15 Pro duo to have 256GB base storage, go up to 2TB
It has been reported that the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max may cost $100 more compared to the 14 Pro models. However, this price increase might be offset by the fact that Apple is planning to enhance the storage capacities of the Pro models.
Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are available in storage options starting from 128GB, going up to 256GB, 512GB, and offering a maximum of 1TB. According to Red Lotus Technology, a Weibo poster, the 15 Pro models will begin at 256GB and introduce a new storage option of 2TB. Another source, Korean blogger yeux1122, also confirms the introduction of the 2TB storage option, but does not mention any changes to the base storage capacity.
Presently, if you visit an Apple Store, you will find that the 128GB iPhone 14 Pro is priced at $1,000, while the 256GB variant costs $1,100. If the aforementioned rumors turn out to be true, a 256GB 15 Pro will be priced the same as a 256GB 14 Pro. This is considered good news, unless you were hoping to avoid spending over $1,000 for a new Pro model.
The addition of a 2TB storage option for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models would be a significant upgrade for Apple's flagship devices. Currently, the highest storage option available for the Pro models is 1TB. This rumor suggests that Apple is pushing the boundaries of storage capacity even further, allowing users to store even more photos, videos, and applications on their iPhones. However, it's important to note that this information comes from a Korean blogger and should be taken with a grain of salt until confirmed by Apple.
And then there’s the second report, spotted by MacRumors. In a Weibo account, it’s also claimed that the top end of the 15 Pro series will have 2TB capacity. But the report goes on to make a second assertion, which translates to: “Compared with the maximum storage, I hope to start with 256GB instead of 128GB. After all, the price has risen.”
Storage could start at 256 GB
This would mean the storage levels for the Pro iPhones would be 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. There’s no reference to what will happen with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus
